A clinic spokesman said his immediate postoperative condition is very satisfactory following abdominal surgery to correct a complication from a perforating ulcer. Williamson, who came to Wisconsin in 1949 as head football coach, became athletic director in 1955.

SP5 Richard Hauri received head wounds from a Viet Cong mine in Vietnam and is under medical care in Saigon. He was injured when the vehicle he rode in hit a mine.
