The body of Maj Gen Watson, longtime U S Army official, died at sea from a cerebral hemorrhage at age 61. The Navy gave him honors as the presidential cruiser docked at an East Coast port after his Yalta with the Big Three visit.

He was released on $1000 bond after a raid by three treasury agents and Undersheriff Schoon yielded a 25 gallon still and 12 gallons of brandy. Preliminary hearing set for March 19. defense may challenge search warrant procedure.

Madison reports the assembly voted unanimously to segregate motor carrier fees and motor fuel taxes into a state highway fund for roads and bridges. Senate action included four bills expanding county pay during the war and easing school and athletic board rules.

The Red Fleet shields the Baltic-bound spearheads amid muddy ground and heavy fighting.
After a five week 14000 mile trip to Russia by cruiser and plane, Mr Roosevelt will report to Congress and the nation on his meeting with Churchill and Stalin. The talks outlined the final defeat of Germany and measures for lasting peace. He will be host at the United Nations conference opening in San Francisco on April 25 and may visit London after the parade ends. Roosevelt returned home from the talks to Washington this morning after leaving January 22 for the eight day summit.
