Peter A. Pearson 85 died after a long illness at his Brodhead home. Born in Sweden July 1 1864 he came to the United States at 19 and settled in North Dakota as a blacksmith. He leaves a wife two stepchildren five step grandchildren a great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held tomorrow at 1 30 p m at Everson funeral home with Rev Leon A Holm officiating burial in Greenwood cemetery. Friends may call this evening after 7 at the funeral home.

The theft of two 180 pound wheels of Swiss cheese from the Rock Grove cheese factory near the Illinois line is under investigation by Stephenson county sheriff’s deputies. Alfred Gregg, brother of the factory proprietor Rudy Gregg, reported the loss.
