Two youths Eugene Stampfli and Donald Stewart were sentenced to one to two years in the Green Bay reformatory after pleading guilty to larceny of 36 feeder pigs valued at 800 dollars from the Raymond Malcock farm. They were retried for further charges and ordered to take a lie detector test in Madison.

Daniel Elmer 13 died at St. Clare hospital from complications after a February fracture from a fall at home. He was born October 13, 1941 in Monroe, lived in Adams Township, attended Dry Goods Box rural school, and is survived by his parents Weston and Selma Blum Elmer, sister Diana, brothers Duane and Dwight, and grandfather Raymond Elmer.
