Weather Blamed for Weekend Accidents in Monroe

Laos Action Restricted as Limited Operation

The Monroe High School junior class raised more than 5000 from magazine subscriptions. Pancake Benefit Draws About 1000 Attendees

The Green County Shrine Club held its annual Pancake Day benefit on February 6 at the Masonic Temple dining room. President Jerry Coplien said about 1,000 people were served, roughly 200 more than last year, with profits expected at $1500 to $1600 for the Hospitals for Crippled Children in Chicago and Twin Cities. Over 80 Shriners helped, joined by DeMolay for Boys and Rainbow for Girls. Cheese contributions came from Albert Deppeler and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Faith.
