Pancake Day Aids Crippled Children By Shriners

A third local Scout, Kristi Schuepp, is an alternate for the Canadian Boundary Water Canoe Trip. Claudia Getzin will attend the Boundary Water Canoe Trip. Both girls are juniors at Monroe High School and leaders in Senior Troop 217.

DETROIT AP reports sportscaster Bob Reynolds cites unnamed sources that Vince Lombardi will become Washington Redskins head coach general manager and part owner. Lombardi resigned as Green Bay coach to become NFL executive and was not available for comment. In Dallas a Wallace aide stated he has no plans for the 1972 presidential race.

Haagensen Named Speaker For Chamber Banquet Feb. 11

Kenneth W. Haagensen ex executive vice president of the Wisconsin State Chamber of Commerce from Madison was announced as the featured speaker for the annual Chamber Banquet to be held February 11 at the Monroe Country Club. James Gordee and Robert Dearth co chairmen said the program will include remarks by Orville Evans a welcome by Dearth who is the new president and introduction of the speaker by Robert H. Rieder. Additional officers for 1969 include Gordee Harvey Loeffel Vernon Schillinger Donald Christianson Boyd Elliott John Ferman Howard McCoy Rieder and Keith Seward.
