Petersons Begin Month Long World Trip From O'Hare

Mr and Mrs Arthur Peterson of Rockford and their daughter Alane Sue depart New Year’s Eve from O’Hare for a month touring many countries. Alane Sue, a Pan American purser and Luther College graduate, will accompany them and first stop in London. The family’s Illinois relatives include Ollie and Clara Peterson in Chicago and Mrs Barbara Peterson of Orfordville who will turn 98 on April 15. She is at Skaalen Sunset Home and remains in good health though handicapped by age.

Shelly Marie Holcomb, born January 3 to Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Holcomb Jr., is the first baby girl. The annual Stork Derby honors the first New Year births with gifts from local merchants, a tradition since 1946.
