Nine Children Die in Lac des Iles Fire Near Mont Laurier
A Quebec blaze destroyed the Girouard home killing nine of the 18 children aged 3 to 18 while the parents and five others escaped. Two siblings were away. four of the children were hospitalized with broken bones and burns.
