Three Die In Two Car Crash Near Cedarville Ill

Three men die in a two vehicle crash on Highway 26 south of Orangeville ill near Cedarville. Victims include William Parriott 35 of Orangeville Russell Homan 21 of Dakota and his son LeRoy 21 on Army leave. LeRoy likely drove the car as both vehicles burned after the collision. Cedarville firefighters and Stephenson County authorities investigate with an inquest planned.

Daughter of Pioneers Mrs Ford Wells Dies at 84

Bertha A. Wells a Lafayette County pioneer, aged 84, died at 10 15 last night December 27 at the home of her daughter Ada Coplien in South Beloit Illinois after years of failing health. She was born April 3 1883 in Blythe Dale Missouri and married Ford Otis Wells January 24 1906 in Freeport. The couple farmed before moving to Monroe. She belonged to the First Methodist Church of Monroe.
