Freeport Youth Dies of Gunshot in Indiana Home
Elwood F. Kortemeier Jr., 15, son of a Freeport eye specialist, died from a chest gunshot yesterday in the Doelker home in Culver Indiana. He and friend Jan Doelker 13 were reportedly examining two guns when the accident occurred. An inquest will be held by Stephenson County Coroner Gene Burke. Arrangements are pending at Burke Tubbs funeral home.
