Senate approves Smith and MacArthur to Natural Resources Board

The Wisconsin Senate confirmed Charles Smith of Wausau and Arthur MacArthur of Janesville to the new Natural Resources Board created by the Kellett plan merger. Smith received 26 4 vote and MacArthur 28 2. Other appointees to the board include Behnke Lynch Potter Rohlich and Tyler with unanimous or near unanimous support. The chamber also defeated a bid to suspend ORAP condemnation powers for 18 months amid an inquiry into land purchases by the Conservation Division. The report also notes a separate crime item from Herzlia Israel where a burglar stole jewelry and escaped in a police patrol vehicle.

Pack of German shepherds kills two boys near Madison Heights

In Amherst County Virginia a father failed to save his sons 5 year old Gene Anthony Goodman and 4 year old Kenneth Goodman as three to four dogs, owned by Earnest Floyd, attacked by a creek behind the Goodman home. The dogs were impounded and one shot. The boys were playing with neighbors dogs when the attack happened. The father Eugene H Goodman and wife were treated for shock. The Amherst County sheriff Mahon H Bryant confirmed the incident and said Floyd allowed play on his land. The dogs fate will be decided by authorities.

Chorus To Make Debut Tomorrow At Christmas Concert
