Lucey decries dorm vacancies at Wisconsin campuses
Wisconsin's Patrick J Lucey told the State Building Commission that campus housing policies inflate dorm vacancies at UW Milwaukee where only about half of 2000 spaces are filled. Madison campus occupancy rose after converting doubles to singles and using meal vouchers. A Milwaukee spokesman cited data disputes and said UWM occupancy runs about 73 percent with some spaces used as offices.
