The Monroe Board of Education approved a voluntary pupil insurance plan to start with the second semester. Parents may sign up at $1 for the next semester and $2 annually. The plan covers injuries or death for students traveling to and from school, on campus during hours, at school activities, group travel to events, and religious services related to school. Coverage up to $10,000 per accident with specific payments and a $1,000 death benefit.

Jail Remodeling Plans To Be Studied By County Board

Deputy coroner T J Burgy Jr ruled the death accidental after the child’s head became caught in a bunk fence in the trailer home while the mother was away for a few minutes.
