New SCS Farms Added in County
A county report shows 81 farmers became new cooperators with the Soil Conservation Service in the past 11 months, surpassing 1951's 58. Nationally, SCS notes an 80 percent rise in cooperators in 1952, totaling 1,120,000 farmers. Local planners say the demand reflects the district’s value and progressive planning enabling immediate cooperator assistance.
