Edna Lois Noble Blowers age 66 died yesterday in a Monroe hospital after four years illness. Born in Gratiot July 17 1879 she and husband Mark Blowers farmed near South Wayne and Monroe before his 1940 death. She leaves three daughters three brothers a sister and two grandchildren. Funeral services set for 1 30 p m Saturday at Stuessy funeral home with Rev Paul J Gibson officiating. Burial in Blaisdell cemetery south of South Wayne.

Police said a Canton cab driver confessed to killing 8 year old Janice May. The body was found beaten and hidden near overturned railroad cars. James Christensen of the Illinois State Bureau of Criminal Investigation announced the statement by Lloyd Miller, 29, of Canton.
