Lions Begin Peace Essay Contest for Monroe Youth
The Monroe Lions Club launches a global Peace Essay Contest offering up to 50 000 dollars in total prizes with a 25 000 dollar first prize. Entrants must be ages 14 to under 22 by January 15 and submit up to 5 000 words. The winner may advance through Lions districts to the world finals in Chicago for a chance at the prize and travel coverage. The deadline is December 10, 1966.
