Junior High Cafeterias to Start Operating September 3
Monroe schools prepare hot lunch programs for senior and junior high students starting Sept. 3. The senior high will charge 30 cents per meal, serve about 600 students in three shifts, with staff led by Mrs. Marvin Schwerin and assistants. The junior high cafe teria, part of new construction, will also serve Lincoln Elementary. Meals cost 25 cents. Weekly lunch tickets will be issued for Lincoln Grades 1-4 and 5-8. Bread will be baked in-house at the junior high, with 70 loaves daily across both cafeterias. Milk remains 2 cents per half pint in all schools. Program begins Sept. 3.
