38 Instructors Join Monroe School System This Year
A total of 38 new teachers are added to the Monroe school system with 20 attached to rural schools. Supt. D. J. Huenink invites all new teachers to a Kiwanis luncheon on Aug 27 and reports full schedules after Labor Day. Two 19 year olds, David Bear of 1220 26th Avenue and Judy Garland of 1805 17th Avenue, sustained injuries in a one car crash four miles north of Browntown on a Jordan Township road at 11 23 last night. The heavily damaged vehicle belonged to Ruth Paulson Juda Route T1 driven by James L ae 20 of Juda Route 1. Finly, a passenger, said he did not know the road and that braking caused the car to slide into a ditch narrowly missing a tree.
