Johnny Cash Tops Milwaukee State Fair Grandstand Record

Johnny Cash opened with a simple Hi I am Johnny Cash and sparked a grandstand show that drew 23,000, with more than 20,000 at a second performance. Attendance reached 87,929 on Friday and 777,090 overall, as fair officials expect a new total attendance record if weather holds. Also featured were Bob Barker and a 200 mile race for Indy style cars with drivers like Mario Andretti.
