Badger briefs fatal Wisconsin Illinois traffic toll update
Two Illinois residents deaths Monday raised Wisconsin 1971 traffic toll to 608 versus 674 a year earlier. Charles W. Wilson 29 of Aurora Ill suffered fatal injuries in a Sauk County crash south of Baraboo at Wis 113 junction. Wilsons wife Barbara 25 and William Kehoe 23 Merrimac were hospitalized. Barbara Losey 43 of Princeton Ill died from injuries after a Wis 155 crash near St Germain. Eight others injured remained hospitalized. Mrs Clara Shapiro about 70 Shorewood was killed crossing a Milwaukee intersection.

Wisconsin passes bill to speed up highway plan
