Fires damage Brodhead home and nearby bedroom
Two blazes within an hour challenge the Brodhead volunteer Fire Department. The first gutted a home tenanted by Robert Haberman and owned by County Board chairman C. S. Pierce. The second fire damaged a spare bedroom at the Jerry Saver residence. Authorities cite faulty wiring and a child playing with matches as possible causes.

Safety No Accident Program Featured By Green County Council

The Industrial Commission said the Wisconsin State Employment Service will staff and operate a new youth center in Madison.
