Larry Schwartz seven son of Mr and Mrs Robert E Schwartz of 937 12th street escaped serious injury yesterday when riding east on the sidewalk he cut into the street and into the path of a car driven by Marion E Mueller Route 3 at the 1400 block of 9th street. He was treated at the Medical Center for a bruised arm and left leg and released.

Worker electrocuted in siren tower mishap
Redgranite Wisconsin report states 23-year-old Marvin Bruno Weir was electrocuted when a guy wire from a crane touched a 7 200 volt line while his crew moved a siren tower from the village hall rear. He worked for his father Harry Weir, a local building contractor.

Rev. Zuercher Jesuit Leader Dies at Omaha
Rev. Joseph Paul Zuercher S. J. 59, Creighton University president from 1937 to 1943, died of cancer after a five month illness at St. Catherine hospital Omaha. Native of Brodhead he was brother of G E Zuercher and survived by three other brothers and two sisters.
