Coroner Seeks Lab Results On Two Brodhead Deaths

Green County Coroner Richard Wagner said he awaits State Crime Laboratory findings to determine the causes of death for Glen R. Sterkowicz aged 26 of Brodhead and Kathleen A. Hickcox aged 22 of Freeport. DA James Beer said the lab was contacted and a report may be ready by early May. Funeral services were held separately yesterday with Sterkowicz cremated in Rockford and Hickcox buried.

Monroe Junior High Joins Regional Work Days for Guatemala

Monroe Sun Prairie Monona Grove and Middleton junior high schools join the Badger Conference project to raise 250 dollars each for a Guatemalan school. Work days run April 24 May 1 and May 8 with 20 pairs of students. Half day 6 full day 12 dollars per pair.

Daylight Saving Time Begins Amid Debate in Congress

Daylight Saving Time starts this Sunday at 2 a.m. and runs six months to Oct. 31, giving Americans an extra hour of evening light. Congress debates extending DST.
