Henry Anlauf 71 a former Monticello resident died after a lengthy illness at Mercy Hospital Janesville. Services were held at Overton Funeral Home with Rev H C Rex officiating. Burial followed in Dayton Cemetery Green County. He was born August 2 1879 in Canton Glarus Switzerland and moved to the U S as a child. He lived in Monticello most of his life married Emma Korner June 25 1914 and moved to Janesville two years ago. He worked at the Monterey Hotel until last September. Surviving are his widow three sons Walter Prairie du Lac Ernest Beloit Roger at Tyndall Field Panama City Fla a daughter Rose Marie two sisters and three grandchildren.

Milo Grinnell Jr a 16 year old of 927 9th street was in St Clare hospital with possible back and chest injuries after a car crash. He was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Robert L Johnson near Monroe at 10 30 p m the car rolled two and a half times down an embankment. Johnson was bruised and the driver claimed speed of 60 mph. The car damaged a fence section and was reported by a passing motorist. Grinnell was removed to hospital by ambulance.
