Ex-South Wayne Man Fatally Hurt In Highway Crash
Terry McKnight aged 25 of Janesville was injured fatally yesterday when his foreign car struck a tree limb on Highway 11, plunged over an embankment and overturned. He was born in 1939, married Nancy Lehnherr in 1963, and employed at Fisher Body Plant. Survivors include his wife, parents, and sister. Services set for 2 p.m. tomorrow at Hanson Funeral Home with burial in Eastman Cemetery. Deputy fault cited a highway debris incident linked to a ripened pile of branches as the cause, death toll figures noted for Wisconsin highways in 1965.

Two Boys Rescued From Swift River By Firemen Aid
Roy Neitzel and his brother Richard were thrown from a capsized rowboat in the Rock River below a dam. Roy swam toward shore, was pulled to safety by fellow boys, while Lt. Donald Asmus and Paul Noe of the Fire Department, despite a failing motor, reached the boy with the aid of a rope attached rescue craft and other firefighters pulled the vessel and four passengers to shore.

Mrs Karl C Jensen survived a deadly twister that destroyed their home at 921 8th Ave as Monroe police officers Coplien and her husband faced the evacuation mess. Jensen, injured, found safety on a step and urged Coplien to help others while medics tended the injured at the First Aid Station. Allan Pederson, a former officer, reported the scene.
