Stephenson County Sheriff Wal ter Engle said he expected to issue a warrant this afternoon charging George Miller Freeport with the slaying of Jimmy Dickens 23 who died in St Francis hospital after a shot fired in Shirley's Tavern on Jackson street. Dickens father of three worked for the Illinois Central railroad and died of internal hemorrhaging from a chest wound. An autopsy was planned and Miller was believed in Winnebago or Stevenson County as deputies pursued a car abandoned two blocks from the scene.

Richard Lee Feller 17 of Monticello faced negligent homicide charges in the death of Mrs. William Bujahn 55 of rural Browntown after a coroner jury verdict.
