Alfred Severson of Argyle Dies at 66
Alfred Severson aged 66 of Argyle died at 7 30 p m at his farm home on the York Adams Township line in Green County after a week illness. Born September 16 1888 at Soldier Iowa he was a son of Halver and Mary Benson Severson. He attended Postville and Meadow Brook schools and never married. Surviving are two sisters Mrs Selma Greenhill Argyle and Mrs Marella Helmeid Blanchardville. Funeral services Wednesday at 2 p m in Adams Lutheran Church with Rev A P Anderson officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call Erickson funeral home Argyle until noon Wednesday when body will be taken to the church.

Twelve Injured In Area Crashes
Twelve people including five Rockford youths and two Chicago art students were injured in three one car crashes and a motorcycle accident in Green and Lafayette Counties over the weekend. Rockford teen Robert Gunderson suffered a severe head injury and other wounds in a crash south of Brodhead and was in satisfactory condition at St. Clare hospital. Other Rockford youths and two Chicago art students faced injuries, with Tatsuo Kobayashi undergoing surgery for a broken leg. A Darlington rider, Eric Rogers, was hospitalized after a motorcycle collision on main street.
