Local church notices list Methodist Presbyterians Baptists and Christians with schedules for August 41 44 1908 at Ely Sharpsburg and nearby towns. Rev Fr J Cunningham Rev Fr James Noble Rev Fr Martin Collins and Rev P Little are noted with visits and services across the week. Morning and evening worship times and Sunday School Junior League and Bible studies are given along with prayer meetings and the W M Society. You are welcome to attend.

Lear Hugley wedding at St Jude's church in Monroe City

Miss Adelaide Lear and Mr. Charles Belt Hugley were married on Tuesday June 2 1908 at 9 am in St Jude's church with Rev Fr J Noble officiating. Due to the bride's mother illness there were no attendants. Ushers were Louis Lear and Edmund Jaeger. The bride wore a light tailored suit for departure to St Louis and carried a prayer book gift. The couple will reside in Jefferson City with Hugley serving as State High School Examiner.

Holy Rosary School Graduation Exercises May 1904

Holy Rosary School held graduation exercises May 28 1904 with praise for Sisters teaching and student conduct. The ceremony featured a Grand March Japanese Drill and Jolly Tors, a keynote address by Father Mullen, and a 15 piece school orchestra led by Father Cunningham.

Paralyzed City Welcomes Jeff Crigler Return

Mrs. William Mudd collapsed from a sudden back of head pain Friday night and remains unconscious with paralysis reportedly complete. Denver visitor Jefferson Davis Crigler, beloved by many in the city, had returned for a two week stay and is warmly regarded as a local favorite.
