Red Bluff test case postponed in Pecos court
A hearing on Red Bluff recreational charge validity for Kyle Biggs of Pecos was postponed until Saturday. Judge Crane was to decide on a permanent injunction against Biggs who entered Red Bluff premises and refused to pay the fee. The Permian Basin Game and Fish Protective Association hired an attorney to defend Biggs.

City Calls For Bids for Municipal Swimming Pool

Funeral services for Earl Burkett deputy City Marshal were held at the First Baptist Church. He died in a local hospital from a bullet wound sustained in the line of duty. Born May 8 1910 in Eastland County Texas he moved to Sweetwater as a youth and lived there through high school. He married Helen Beasley February 3 1934 and they had two children Virgil Wayne and Sally Farban. He had worked for a local lumber company and was baptized in Monahans in November 1933.

Monahans WPA sidewalk and curb project gains El Paso approval and moves toward San Antonio. Plans call for sidewalk work on main streets once WPA funds and landowner material costs are arranged.
