George Washington visits Wednesday Study Club
A March 4 gathering at Mrs. J.W. Erwin’s home featured Rev. Lonnie Goodman portraying George Washington. Wearing colonial attire, he spoke on liberty, independence, and the crafting of the Constitution, recalling Valley Forge hardships and the push for a stronger U.S. government. Goodman, Odessa College economics and history instructor, charmed the audience and earned a nod as actor in the club’s report.
