Odessa College announces seventeen noncredit short courses starting March 27 through the adult and continuing education office. Offerings include intermediate cake decorating, calligraphy, county-western dance, interior design, needlepoint, sewing alterations, and more with preregistration required for some. A geology and natural history course for Big Bend National Park begins March 5, and a microwave cooking workshop on March 4.
Jerry Larned, assistant superintendent of the Monahans School system, will chair the 1981 Cystic Fibrosis Spring Special Event to raise funds for CF research, education, and care programs. CF is a leading genetic killer of children, with ongoing need for testing and awareness.
