Rev W R Mann Midland in charge of Sunday School Extension Work in El Paso Presbytery for the Board of National Missions will run a Vocational Bible school each morning during the revival. Taxed Oil Town Toyah Gets Water Distribution Loan

The Reconstruction Finance Corporation approves a 23500 loan to Toyah Texas Reeves County for a water distribution system. It also records 40000 in loans to Reeves County Water Improvement District Balmorhea and plans a new loan at half that amount. The agency buys Toyah revenue bonds to cover the loan. Toyah, a Texas and Pacific railway division point, lies in Reeves County with no prior water system. water was once shipped at $1 a barrel. Water now comes from McCutchen Springs 37 miles away.

A group including S. W. Estes Jr and Lonnie Casey left for an overnight outing. They went to Madera Springs for dances and Balmorhea for fishing returning Sunday evening. Lee Roy Blue, ambassador of Africa, helped with the boiler and the trip's success.

Special Train Delivers 33 Reforestation Recruits to West Texas

A train carrying 33 recruits for California reforestation arrived in Monahans on the Texas and Pacific line last Friday at 4 55 pm and departed at 5 05 pm. The Kentucky and Ohio recruits were bound for Exeter California. E Potter of Big Spring served as conductor and Engine No 900 was piloted by L Smith of Big Spring.

Car Overturns Injuring Midland Woman and Granddaughter

Mrs. J. A. Haley and her granddaughter Ann Mason suffered severe cuts and bruises when their car overturned on the highway between Wink and Monahans while returning to Midland from the Haley ranch in Winkler County. D. H. Pope aided at the scene and drove them to Midland. Both were discharged from a Midland hospital and resting at the Haley home.

Wink Theatre owners announce major remodel and expansion

News from Wink reports Rex Theatre manager Joe Delorio plans to rebuild the Big Theatre, remodel and refinish, add sound upgrades and hundreds of seats. Work starts Friday with local labor only, costing about 7500 to 8060 dollars, aiming to be ready by August first and attract patrons from nearby towns.
