Hospital Board Honors Auxiliary at Installation Banquet
The Hospital Board honored the Colonial Inn event Monday night for the Hospital Auxiliary Inc. Administrator Robert K. Hill thanked the senior and junior groups for recording over 4766 and 1407 hours respectively. The year saw a new lobby coffee machine and a portable defibrillator funded jointly with the Permian Basin Regional Planning Commission at 3500 dollars, to be used in the emergency department later this week.

Posters Promote Freedom Fair Bicentennial July 3
Volunteers from Sands Art created posters for the Freedom Fair to be displayed around town. The posters highlight July 3 activities and acknowledge Ophelia Ratliff and others who contributed. June 25 is the final date to sign up for booth space or sponsorship. about 50 booths and contests are planned. Contact Clarese Gough or Carolyn Parks to register for a booth. A Renoir painting titled By The Seashore is loaned by Ward County Library and featured as painting of the month.

Rucker Wins Internship Through Statewide Corrections Program
Ross Rucker among ten UTPB students in Criminal Justice Corrections or Social Work awarded internships for summer with Midland County Adult Probation Department. Program goals include fostering corrections careers, giving work experience, and building a research oriented faculty core. Rucker is a Behavioral Science graduate student and former KVKM Monahans owner.
