San Jose Mission in San Antonio: A self-sufficient frontier hub
The San Jose Mission, founded over 250 years ago by Fray Antonio Margil de Jesus, remains an active church and a prime example of Mexican Baroque mission architecture. Four missions nearby are open to the public with a combined ticket price for all, while a separate San Jose visit costs 50 cents for adults and 25 cents for children. A self-guided tour includes Rosa's Window, an old grist mill, spiral stair to the belfry, and the Espada Ditch and Aqueduct. The Alamo, San Antonio de Valero, is also accessible via the same area, cared for by the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Send for an NPS brochure to learn more about nearby park sites and visitor services.

Common Warts A Skin Nuisance and Treatments
Warts are viral skin infections that often fade without care but can be contagious. Plantar warts on the feet may be painful and sometimes require treatment such as electrolysis, freezing, acid applications, or radiotherapy, with about half disappearing spontaneously. Some patients report improvement from ingestion or faith-based methods, though evidence is limited.
