Nicky Wilson Wins at Ruidoso Downs in Kansas Futurity
Nicky Wilson of Monahans rode Clever Bug to a 18.34 second 350 yard victory at Ruidoso Downs New Mexico earning 16 000 dollars and the first jewel of the Quarter Horse Triple Crown. Owners Vaughn and Mark Watkins of Madison Mississippi gain 166 333 dollars in the win. Wilson credits his trainer and horse and plans for the remaining Triple Crown events.

Crane tennis tournament slated for June 10 to 12
Crane hosts a three day tennis tournament announced by Keith Coburn. Entry fees are four dollars per person for most events and five dollars for men and women categories. Entries must reach Coburn at 611 W 7th Crane 79731 by Monday. Matches run Wednesday start time 6 p.m. with two of three sets and a nine point tiebreaker at 6-all. Contestants may enter up to three events plus mixed doubles.
