Lovington New Mexico residents Harry and Opal Mattlin known as Sparkles and Toes the clown duo will travel January 15 to attend the presidential inauguration events in Washington. Their daughter Pam Robison runs Rainbow Day Care Center and helped arrange the trip with Dr James Johnson. The ball at National Guard Armory will feature appearances by Vice President Bush and President Reagan. The Mattlins fund the trip through clown performances for churches and schools across the region.
