Mokena Chamber Decorates Streets For Fourth
The Mokena Chamber of Commerce will decorate the town for the Fourth of July with star spangled bunting and 50 light poles along Front Street and Wolf Road to Division Street and LaPorte Road. The group will install the decorations Saturday after a $250 spending plan and purchasing by Arthur Melin of Mokena Pharmacy. The Lions Club previously led the effort alone.

Rabies Toll Strikes Green Garden Farm Cow
A cow on Harold Ullrich’s Green Garden Township farm died June 16 of rabies. Veterinarians suspect a bite from a skunk or other carrier. Harold Ullrich his son Roger and Dr James Nadler received rabies post exposure shots.

Lincoln Way High School earns commendation report
