Bridging Of I-80 On New Route 45 Contract Let
The contract to bridge U S 45 over I 80 near Springfield was awarded to Arcole Midwest Construction Co at about 88000 dollars. The project scopes the U S 45 branch to the west at 183d Street and spans I 80 with a temporary jog north of the Rock Island tracks. The Rock Island crossing remains beneath until the interchange is built.

Providence High School in New Lenox will stage a two day horse show at Francis Field July 17 and 18 sanctioned by the Northern Illinois and Wisconsin Horse Associations. More than 200 riders from four states compete in 40 events with 2500 dollars in prizes. amateur classes welcome within 50 miles of Joliet. General chairman is Warren Wood.
