Dr Slernitzauer sent a book covering his debt amount to Jasper Baker owner of the Operanto after leaving town with his buggy still unpaid. Word spread that he planned to settle the buggy soon as possible. Mrs WM Porter, longtime city resident, died at Huntsville this morning of general debility in old age. Funeral set for 10 a m tomorrow.

Funeral for Ed Dulaney Held at Central Christian Church
The remains of Ed Dulaney who died in Macon were transported to Moberly for funeral services at Central Christian church conducted by Rev. Taylor and Rev. Haynes. A large crowd attended and floral tributes were abundant. Burial followed at Oakland cemetery. Dulaney and cousin John Astwood had opened a Macon restaurant a week earlier, ending their partnership.
