In Davison County the populists met at the courthouse amid crowded delegates to nominate a legislative and county ticket. Eugene Foley was presented for clerk of courts, while John K. Johnson and others sought senate and representative spots and W. H. Saul won auditor. The session spiked a fusion clause but backed Foley and the ticket amid partisan maneuvering.
