Miss Celeste Le Fevre Coghlan headlined a rich evening of music at the Grand Opera house with H E Phillips of St Paul and Mrs Lou Ella B Smith assisted by Miss Gertrude Becker Hoyt's orchestra and Mrs Maude Silsby Nichols piano. The program featured Rossini Brahms Chaminade and Gounod with strong vocal displays by Coghlan Becker and Phillips and a notable ensemble duet Oh That We Two Were Maying. A two week Davison county teacher institute concludes Friday at the west side school house after a successful session. The Grauta opera house hosted graduation with thirty diploma recipients presented by Prof. Edwin Dukes. A large attendance marked the event and many musical features accompanied the ceremony.

Artesian well work begins east of reservoir

Land Filing Seeker’s Lost Money Recovered in Yankton
About ten days ago R Jakubichek from Aberdeen came to file on land in the Yankton reservation with enough cash to pay fees. He lost 390 after meeting with bad company and later the money was found by a boy named Henry Koch near Hammer's drug store. The sum awaits return to Jakubichek upon proof of ownership.
