Death ends long suffering of Mrs. George S. Smith
Mrs. George S. Smith died after a long illness on Saturday October 7 following a paralytic stroke. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 pm at the residence 416 Fourth Avenue West with Dr J S Hoagland presiding. She leaves a husband four children and four brothers. Remains interred at Graceland cemetery with pallbearers Frank Weller W H Wilkinson R N Reiersgon O L Branson Clint Miller and George Hamer. Born November 4 1857 in Walworth County Wisconsin she married George J. Smith in Rochester Minnesota March 9 1878 and moved to Mitchell five years ago from Hanson County.
