The fair’s buildings water and feed were well arranged by David Patterson Paddock and Hitchcock with city backing. Parker’s Mr Jones was absent from the fair. Grand marshal White served well. Exhibit by Ben William feed mill drew attention. Class 15 sweepstakes grand stud premium awarded to Frank Moyer Mitch ell for his stallion Fontenoy.

The Catholic mission in Mitchell draws large crowds at multiple services starting 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. today with sermons by Rev. George Sheehan and Very Rev. Father Brewer. Firefighters hailed by Caswell and Commercial ladies for warm lunch
The Caswell and Commercial houses ladies provided a hot meal to the fire department after a cold dangerous incident. A $500 colt owned by J K Smith was lost not Willie Wilkes, and a horse owned by Tom Brisbine of Plankinton was found among the ruins along with a reported pocket theft.
