Mitchell's Corn Palace exterior decorations by Roche were completed Monday with striking mosaic pieces and a crown of corn motifs. Old King Korn, Ceres with grain, a harvest moon, and lyre gables highlight the facade. The tower height was increased to enhance sightlines as the structure stands at Fourth and Main.

Street attractions wow the crowd at weeklong exposition
The exposition offers Count DeButz the bike rider Malcolm Anderson the balancer and juggler J H Jackson contortionist artist on trapeze and sailor perch Helena Valdez the young contortionist all performing on the street from 11 to 12 thirty, 12 30 to 2, 4 30 to 6 and 7 to 8 in the evening. The program runs all week with first class specialists ensuring no dull moments on the streets.

Governor Herried to Visit Mitchell During Exposition Week
Governor Charles N Herried plans a visit to Mitchell during exposition week as guest of the city for a day or two. An invitation from the exposition committee was extended and he accepted the kind invitation though the exact date could not be stated yet. The governor is keen on state improvement efforts and will be welcomed by Mitchell residents and visitors once the date is confirmed.
