Seventeen Filings Recorded at Land Office Today
The land office opened with a shrinking crowd and 21 filings made during the day. Four were rejected for noncompliance as required by law. Settlers filed on day one with the Charles Mix county judge, then the county forwarded to the land office where Register Boynton rejected the applications.
