Salt Lake silver convention outlines non partisan path
Yankton Press notes seven western states meet in Salt Lake to advocate free coinage of silver. The effort aims to be non partisan and build support without forcing party abandonment. The report cites sentiment from Vermillion, Pierre, Chamberlain, and local educators, plus notes on a framing speech by Professor J J Quigley and concerns about an artesian well in Frankfort and the slow progress of the South Dakota state fair planning.
