Mitchells proposed extensive sewer system plan outlined
The city auditor weighs a comprehensive sewer expansion for Mitchell linking Second street to Minnesota and Dry Run with three foot mains and ongoing laterals on multiple streets. A south side system and a Dakota University to Rowdle connector are planned with further lines on Pennington Bowdle and Wowdle. John L. Nelson, city engineer, designed the lay out. Voters approved $60,000 for the extension and construction may begin this year if bonds sell timely.
