Populist Delegates Chosen At Canton County Convention
In Char Mix County a lively populist convention at the courthouse selected 15 delegates to the state gathering in Canton on May 8. John Colvin chaired the session as Frank Bailey led Mt. Vernon. Debates centered on initiative and referendum for delegate selection and fusion tensions with the Republican and Democratic camps.
