Graduates Present Orations In School Exercises At Opera House
Sixteen members of the graduating class staged a final scene of school life at the opera house with flowers, music, and speeches. The program featured orations on Truth, Man's Dominion, The Worship of Zeus, Ruins, and other topics, with several speakers unable to present due to illness. Diplomas were awarded by I. J. Quigley after brief remarks from the board, as crowds gathered for the event and news of other civic gatherings circulated.

Dr. Grahams Sermon at the University President's Visit
Dr. Graham, the University’s new president, preached at the M. E. Church on Sunday morning and evening. His sermon on John 5 17 contrasted the Father’s general providence with the Son’s special providence, tracing creation, redemption, and the laws governing conviction, repentance, and prayer. The talk linked Genesis circles to redemption and argued God acts in both nature and redemption with equal certainty. It notes the Catholic seminary rivaling the state and cites local medical advertisements and a Malice claim against J C Ryan, plus an insurance nudge urging Chamberlain’s remedy for bowels.
