John Hoy his wife Mollie and children William eight Portia six were found with throats cut ear to ear. Hoy a former Baltimore and Ohio conductor, recently suspended for drunkenness, appears to have killed his family and possibly himself.
Charles S. Rogers, president of Northwestern Cordage, is identified as the body found about 6:30 p.m. near the fish hatchery in St. Paul. Coroner Whitcomb confirms the death by his own action after discovery by boatman Haven, who will receive the $500 reward.
